Hotel

Howlfest’s primary venue is the Alexis Park Resort, often known as “the AP” by attendees.

The Alexis Park’s 496 rooms are laid out in two-story blocks with outdoor access and adjacent to parking lots, similar to a motel; this creates many green spaces for socializing or relaxation, and also makes it very easy to find and interact with other attendees.

Its 496 rooms are all-suite, with rooms measuring 450 sqft or more (the US average is 325 sqft). Most hotel rooms are split into separate living and sleeping areas, separated by a door; note the hotel room types down below.

Amenities

  • On-site self-serve laundromat. Travel lighter so you can take advantage of personal item/carryon-only tickets!
  • All rooms have fridge and microwave! Feel free to bring back leftovers from all the nearby restaurants.
  • Almost all rooms have pullout beds. Even if you only get a King suite, it’s possible to have crash space for friends.
  • Complementary in-room Wi-Fi.
  • Pools are closed for October, but we are reviewing the ability to open and heat them for the convention.

All food and beverage purchased at the Alexis Park’s restaurant and bars, as well as anything purchased from the convenience store on Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday counts towards the convention’s catering minimum, lowering Howlfest’s costs. We appreciate all support.

Booking Terms/Rates

Booking terms/rates for Howlfest are coming soon as we design our hotel block. Key notes:

  • Rooms are booked through Howlfest via ConCat. Rooms acquired through other means (Alexis Park website, calling the hotel, etc.) will be cancelled.
  • Staff and Dealers have their own block; Super Sponsors have early access to general attendee rooms, but some of each room type is kept in reserve so ordinary attendees can still have a chance at Alexis Park.

Room Types

Alexis Park Rooms all have titles with words that describe the room’s features/location:

  • “Extended Stay” rooms are in the back blocks (25, 26, 27, 28, 29) and feature full-sized fridges and stovetops. For Howlfest, these are the designated Noisy Block rooms; anyone sensitive to noise should not book these rooms.
  • “Deluxe” rooms are ground floor.
  • “Studio” rooms have no separation between their living and sleeping areas, while “Monarch” rooms do.
  • All “Majestic” rooms are ground floor.
  • All 2-Story Crown Lofts and 2-Story 2-Bedrooms are on the second floor.
